Located at the James River Country Club in Newport News, Virginia, this 130 linear foot two (2) lane golf cart bridge features two (2) arched openings over a lake and is the focal point of the James River County Club Golf Course.  The exterior of the bridge was designed with a genuine stone veneer to match the existing retaining wall that surrounds the lake.

The Structures Group, Inc. served as the prime consultant for this bridge project and led the coordination of the architectural, structural and civil construction documents, which assured that the design and construction of the bridge met the requirements for code compliance review within the short design-build timeframe allowed by the Owner. TSG also provided Construction Administration and Special Inspections for the project which was designed and constructed in less than five months.

In addition to its pleasing aesthetic appearance, the twin cell CON/SPAN bridge provides a convenient crossing for golf carts over the lake. The 42 foot long bridge design won an award for Outstanding Aesthetic CON/SPAN Installation.
