Exceeding Expectations on Every Project
The expertise and experience of our staff encompass a broad range of engineering projects in five distinct areas: Structural Engineering, Forensic Analysis, Special Inspections, Independent Plan Review and Due Diligence/Risk Analysis. The services offered within these areas include preliminary design and feasibility analysis, structural design and analysis, preparation of construction documents, construction administration, special inspections, forensic analysis, building code review, independent plan review, and due diligence pre-purchase studies.
The Structures Group, Inc. utilizes RISA, RAM Steel, and RAM Concept three-dimensional modeling for its structural analysis and design, as well as Revit, a form of Building Information Modeling (BIM), for the development of construction documents. Consulting engineering services have been provided for numerous types of structures including commercial buildings, industrial, educational, and institutional facilities, residential structures, marine structures, and historic properties along the East Coast, Gulf Coast, and Mid-West.
Further, due to our forensic analysis experience, we have been solicited to provide structural analysis and remedial repair design in various disaster and restoration projects such as the 1989 and 1994 California earthquakes, Hurricanes Andrew (1992), Floyd (1999), Isabel (2003), Katrina (2005), Irene (2011) and Laura (2020), as well as numerous mid-Atlantic tornadoes and Nor’easters. Such forensic analysis expertise often results in providing expert testimony in matters of litigation.
