The greatest compliment to a firm is repeated requests for continued services for a facility that has transitioned through several owners. As the prime structural consultant, The Structures Group, Inc. (TSG) has provided and continues to perform forensic analysis, code compliance review, structural engineering design, construction administration, and special inspections for structures within the Kingsmill Resort which lies within the Kingsmill on the James subdivision in James City County, Virginia. The resort, constructed and operated by the Anheuser Busch Company, then purchased and operated by Xanterra, and now owned and operated by Escalante.

TSG has completed dozens of projects within the Kingsmill Resort, ranging from due diligence and forensic reviews of existing single family, multi-family, and hotel structures, to the structural design and preparation of construction documents, independent code compliance plan reviews, and special inspections for various new structures. These Kingsmill structures have included renovations and expansions to the Conference Center, the Tennis Center, the Eagle Golf Clubhouse, and the Sports Center & Spa.  TSG also provided the structural design for the Woods Golf Course Bridges, the Laundry Facility, the Operations Center, and Marina.

As the Structural Engineer of Record and Special Inspection firm, TSG recently completed the Pool Amenity Complex, including a lazy river, and a two (2) story dining restaurant at the Marina along the shore of the James River. Additionally, TSG provided the structural design of eighteen (18) Resort Cottages currently under construction along the shore of the James River. Working for the Owner in a CM a risk format, these projects were designed, permitted, constructed, and operating within the six (6) month period between the end of the tourist season in November and the beginning if the season in April. Nothing exhibits success like a continuing repeat client.
