Special Inspections

The International Building Code (IBC) requires that the owner of a commercial project under construction provide for Special Inspections when constructing a building or making specific alterations or additions to a building. The Structures Group, Inc. provides Special Inspection Agent I Services on a routine basis.

• Provide Special Inspections in a timely and unobtrusive manner.
• Ensure proper construction in conformance with the project's design documents.
• Often requested by out of town Design Professionals and local municipalities due to our experience and thoroughness.
• Reports within 24 hours of inspection to the Structural Engineer of Record, Building Official, Architect, Contractor, and Owner.
• Members of our staff have served on a regional task force to establish Special Inspection guidelines for Hampton Roads.
