Private Residence - Mineral Bluff

Situated on Mineral Bluff in Fannin County, Georgia, this 2,500 square foot timber framed structure overlooks the Blue Ridge Mountains. Located within the Appalachian Mountains in northwest Georgia, the residence was designed to fit into the natural surroundings. With much of the timber framing of the structure remaining exposed, the Architect for this residence allowed the exposed structure to compliment the architecture and the rugged mountain landscape. The main focal point of the residence is the living area with vaulted ceilings composed of exposed timber tongue and groove wood sheathing, supported by solid sawn timber rafters, beams, and quadruple 4 x 4 wood columns.
